  i can't stand the guy or his songs.

  his voice is grating.

  what's worse, my local radio station plays one of his songs like every 15 minutes, and every other station is either country or classical music.

  Green Day sounds obnoxious to me. But that's just my opinion.

  John Mayer is truly a talented singer-songwriter. No need to bad mouth him just because your taste in music is different to everyone else's.

  I met Mulan and her hubby this morning!!!

  just wanted everyone to know that mulan is just as fantastic in person as what she appears to be when she writes on this board.

  both mulan and her husband are very kind, down to earth people---i am glad i was able to get to know someone after reading their posts.. so for you newbies out there, realize there is "life" and good people to meet from this board.

  take advantage of those opportunities, your life will be definitely enriched from this experience.. thanks again mulan for taking the time to meet me!!!.

  What's happened to the preaching work?

  something happened the other night that got me thinking.

  i met a christian in one of the local malls and he did the usual preaching about jesus routine, trying to convince me that i am a sinner and how i need jesus and all that jazz.

  he wasn't a jw, but rather he was from one of the local revivalist churches.. now what i'm thinking is that i've been out of the org for almost three years now.

  Hi Everyone,

  Something happened the other night that got me thinking. I met a christian in one of the local malls and he did the usual preaching about jesus routine, trying to convince me that I am a sinner and how I need jesus and all that jazz. He wasn't a JW, but rather he was from one of the local revivalist churches.

  Now what I'm thinking is that I've been out of the org for almost three years now. I just vanished. No DF or DA. But I still haven't had a witness knock on my door and the only people that have tried preaching to me are born-again christians and mormons, usually in the streets. So my question is why haven't I encountered any JW's? Is the preaching work dead?

  I remember one of the signs that they use to tell people they are the true religion is that they are the only ones doing a world-wide preaching work while quoting Matt 24:14. Do the rank and file really believe that crap? Are they kidding themselves? Do they realise how inneffectual they organised preaching work really is??

  Just felt like having a splurge.

  actually, i didn't, a shitload of glasses fell, and one shattered on my hand.

  so in essence, it wasn't me who cut my hand, it wasn't my fault.

  i just read a pm that ozzie sent me, although i won't reveal it's contents.

  it made me realize the great unheralded sacrifices that ones like ozzie have made on leaving the borg.

  the strength of character ozzie has is a good example for all of us just starting out on the same road he has walked.

  Hamas, when I hear these kind of stories about abusive parents I feel the same... ...and yes, Revenge does feel good. Sometimes I wish it didn't feel so good. Maybe there wouldn't be as much pain and suffering in this world. Nature's greatest hits IMHO: Music, Sex, Food.
